We will officially exist by mid-March. By that time, we need to have a form of accounting and membership management up and running.

@jupfi As the due date is coming up (and I keep checking if we're official yet): GnuCash with a MySQL backend? That way, we could do things like display our current balances on the website, and integrate with membership management stuff down the line.

Well, yes. But that should be rather "safe" if we restrict full access to personal MySQL accounts and access from within the VPN.

Either way, you may want to familiarize yourself with GnuCash. Looks like you can start with a local file, and use the "Save as" menu to upload that to a server at any time anyway.
